We break an EMS no-go and talk about our projects!
Is there snow on Mars?
Even if the project dates back to 2008, at least it's not yesterday's news!
In close cooperation with Nanosurf AG, electronic assemblies for the project of the first scanning force microscope were assembled in 2008 and sent to Mars on a NASA spacecraft. These were the first nano-microscope measurements on Martian dust and also the first on another planet.

Quite fast on the road!
For the Akademischer Motorsportverein Zürich (AMZ), assemblies for electric racing cars were fitted which push the limits and currently hold the world record of 0-100 km/h in 0.956s.

Even further away: Jupiter
The European Space Agency ESA's JUICE space mission is a project that aims to "take it further". In collaboration with the University of Bern, an engineering model (EM) of a mass spectrometer NIM was prefabricated at Schaffner GmbH; the mission intends to fly to Jupiter to search for traces of life on three icy moons there.
